As authors, we live with our characters and their worlds in our heads for so long that they can become as important to us as our family and friends. When I started Double J Press in 2021, it was because I enjoyed publishing my novel, but saw firsthand how intimidating it can be. My goal is to help others achieve this goal without becoming overwhelmed by the details.
My background is diverse and includes working as a journalist, publisher’s assistant, clinical coordinator, and massage therapist, but writing has always been there from my first poems written under the covers by flashlight when I was seven, to news stories written for community papers in New York, Maine, and Massachusetts, and finally, to my novel, From Away.
